To access the battery, use the ignition key to unlock
(H, Fig. 163) and open the battery cover, located on
the top left of the machine next to the top engine
cover.
Always hold the battery compartment cover
open when working on the battery. Use pin (D),
if so equipped. Severe injuries can result if the
battery compartment cover falls on hands and/
or fingers.
Using a Booster Battery (Jump-Starting)
Jump-start the machine according to “Jump-
Starting” on page 86.
