Receiving and inspecting the Ripple-2 Node
4. Verify that all node housing bolts and plugs are in place:
◦ Housing bolts
◦ Strand clamp bolts
◦ Port and test-point plugs:
◦ Six RF-port plugs, three on either side of the base
◦ Four test-point plugs, two on either side of the base
◦ Two optical-fiber port plugs, one on either side of the lid

IMPORTANT: The Ripple-2 node is shipped containing a package of desiccant for moisture
protection. Depending on the configuration of the node, the desiccant package will be attached
to either the surface of the Pebble-2 slot 2, or to the top of the fiber tray.
The desiccant package must be removed for later disposal in a responsible manner before
performing any installation procedures on the node.
