Chapter 5: Configuring the Ripple-2 Node
• Set return path level of Ripple RF port P1 to (–)8 dB
◦ admin@CableOS> set rpn 192.168.8.150 rpn-port 1 return-attn 8
• Set return path level of Ripple RF port P2 to (–)10 dB
◦ admin@CableOS> set rpn 192.168.8.150 rpn-port 2 return-attn
10
• Set return path level of Ripple RF port P3 to (–)3 dB
◦ admin@CableOS> set rpn 192.168.8.150 rpn-port 3 return-attn 3
• Set return path level of Ripple RF port P3 to (–)5 dB
◦ admin@CableOS> set rpn 192.168.8.150 rpn-port 4 return-attn 5
Enabling or disabling RF ports P2 and P4
The Ripple-2 Node is equipped with remotely controlled switches that can enable or disable Port P2 and
Port P4 to conserve power. You can only enable/disable both ports simultaneously; you cannot enable/
disable only one of the ports.
• Run this command: admin@CableOS> set rpn <rpn-id> hybrid [disabled|enabled]:
Parameter Description
<rpn-id> Ripple node ID:
◦ <ddd.ddd.ddd.ddd> = Selects RPD by dotted decimal IPv4 address
◦ <hhhh.hhhh.hhhh> = Selects RPD by 48-bit MAC address
◦ rpd-vcvs-addr [CC:SS] = Virtual slot
hybrid [disabled|
enabled]
Disable or Enable both hybrid ports P2 and P4
Example: Turn off hybrid ports P2 and P4
admin@CableOS> set rpn 192.168.8.150 hybrid disabled
