Chapter 6: Replacing field-replaceable items

• Phillips-head screwdriver
1. Remove the four holding screws.
2. Remove the faulty switch and connect the replacement switch.
3. Connect the cable for the switch to its connection point in the lid.
4. Replace and tighten the holding screws.
5. You can check the operation of the tamper switch by running the CLI command show rpn <rpn-id>
lid.
Closing the Ripple-2 Node housing
It is critical to strictly follow these instructions to close the Ripple-2 node housing after installing its internal
components in order to prevent current or future damage to the node's internal components.
It is critical to secure the bolts in the order prescribed in the procedure; the tightening sequence is also
embossed on the housing lid flange on the side of each bolt.
