Mounting the Ripple-2 Node housing
Mounting on a messenger-cable
A messenger-cable is typically a cable suspended between two posts, such as telephone poles. This
mounting method allows street-side access to the node.
There are two methods for mounting the node on a messenger-cable:
• The simple, standard Flush method, that hangs the node directly onto its messenger-cable clamps and
their bolts so that the node is flush with the messenger-cable.
• The Spacing method hangs the node on extended-clamp assemblies that leave a gap between the
node and the messenger-cable to accommodate any cables or wires that may be strung adjacent to
the messenger-cable and that do not allow use of the Flush method.
