Chapter 5: Configuring the Ripple-2 Node
3. Run this command to start the upgrade: admin@CableOS> install cable rpd <virtual-
slot | ip | mac> start <url>:
Parameter Description
virtual-slot Pebble-2 chassis number:port number
For example: 1:0, 2:0, 3:0
ip Pebble-2 IP address
mac Pebble-2 MAC address
url The location of the software *.iso image file
Example:
HTTP protocol: admin@CableOS> install cable rpd 1:0 start
http://10.40.1.185/releases/ExoR-release-1.2.0.0-8+auto25.iso
SCP protocol: admin@CableOS> install cable rpd 1:0 start scp://
username@10.40.1.185/releases/ExoR-release-1.2.0.0-8+auto25.iso
FTP protocol: admin@CableOS> install cable rpd 1:0 start
ftp://10.40.1.185/releases/ExoR-release-1.2.0.0-8+auto25.iso
Result: The upgrade begins. When it is finished the Pebble-2 module automatically reboots.
4. Use this command to check the upgrade status: admin@CableOS> install cable rpd
<virtual-slot | ip | mac> status
Upgrading Jetty module software
The software upgrade for the Jetty is done through gNOI and can also be done at boot time through the
sZTP. Software updates are available from Harmonic. For detailed information on upgrading Jetty module
software, refer to the Jetty CLI Guide.
Before you begin
To see the upgrade status, run the command python gnoi_client.py upgrade-status
Upgrading through sZTP
For upgrading through sZTP, follow the sZTP standard procedure.
The config file contains two parts:
