Installing a Skiff temporary power supply module
The Skiff temporary power supply can be installed in a Ripple-2 node as a temporary power supply
allowing operators to apply temporary AC voltage during node installations, provisioning, and during
maintenance.

Number Description Number Description
1 Skiff temporary power supply 5 Grommet
2 F-type AC input connector 6 PG11 cable gland
3 F-type AC adapter 7 RG59 cable
4 5/8 to PG11 adapter 8 F-type connector
The Skiff temporary power supply is intended for installation inside the node housing during initial
provisioning of the node, when plant or commercial power is not available, or its use is not desirable.
The Skiff temporary power supply is not recommended for long term use and is intended to be used for
temporary powering only.
The Skiff temporary power supply can be installed in either of the node's power supply slots. The power
supply is completely independent of the node's regular AC lines and does not require that any fuses be
applied to the node’s AC Board.
The unit should be installed into the housing and connected to the RG59 coaxial jumper cable provided in
the kit, with the cable direction as marked on the Skiff. An appropriate length of coaxial cable can be used
to connect the other side of the jumper cable to an external temporary line power supply that is provided
by the field technician.
