2.6.2 Operation test of viscometer
●This function allows you to check the viscometer operation and measure the
current ink viscosity. Note that this operation test is not to determine the
coefficient.
●It is not necessary to use new ink for operation test.
1 Press Start calibration on page 2 of circulation control of service
maintenance screen.
2 Press Operation test.
3 When the test is complete, the current “ink viscosity” will appear.
If the process status is “Fault” and message “Check the viscometer” appears,
normal measurement has not been executed. See sections 6.48 and 6.49 in “6.
Troubleshooting”.
4 Press Cancel to restore the original screen.
The operation test result display will disappear.
2.6.3 Selection for ink concentration control with viscometer
●Choose whether you wish to execute automatic ink concentration control or not,
according to the viscometer measurement result.
●Choose to execute automatic ink concentration control in normal status, except
for cases of uneven fault of viscometer or fault in measurement value.
1 Press Circulation system environment setup on page 2 of circulation
control of service maintenance screen.
2 Specify Ink concentration control: [1] enabled.
The ink concentration control will automatically be executed according to the
viscometer measurement result.
3 Specify Ink concentration control: [0] disabled.
The automatic ink concentration control, according to the viscometer
measurement result, will not be executed. With this specification, control is
exercised so that the amount of ink used for printing and the amount of
makeup ink volatilized are automatically refilled (dot count control).
