Overview
This chapter describes protocol-independent multicast routing operation on
the HP ProCurve Series 5300xl switches and how to configure it with the
switch’s built-in interfaces, and assumes an understanding of multimedia
traffic control with IP multicast (IGMP), which is described in
chapter 4,
“Multimedia Traffic Control with IP Multicast (IGMP)”.
For general information on how to use the switch’s built-in interfaces, refer to
these chapters in the Management and Configuration Guide for your switch:
