CD MultiBay Adapter Board
To remove the CD MultiBay adapter board:
1. Power down the server. See the “Powering Down the Server” section in this chapter.
2. Extend or remove the server from the rack. See the “Preparation Procedures” section in
this chapter.
3. Remove the access panel. See the “Access Panel” section in this chapter.
4. Remove the CD-ROM drive or CD blank:
a. If a CD-ROM drive is installed in the bay, see the “CD-ROM Drive” section in this
chapter.
b. If a CD blank is installed in the bay, see the “CD Blank” section in this chapter.
5. Disconnect the CD MultiBay cable from the adapter board
.
6. Loosen the two thumbscrews that secure the adapter board to the chassis
.
7. Lift the adapter board
.
