Extending the Server from the Rack
To extend the server from the rack:
1. Loosen the front panel thumbscrews that secure the server faceplate to the front of the
rack.
2. Extend the server until the server rail-release latches engage.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, be careful when pressing the server
rail-release latches and sliding the component into or out of the rack. The sliding rails
could pinch your fingertips.
3. After performing the maintenance procedure, slide the server back into the rack:
a. Press the server rail-release latches.
b. Slide the server fully into the rack.
c. Secure the server by tightening the thumbscrews.
