4.3.2 Air Intake Vent
An air filter is installed over the air intake vent of the NE40E-X3. The air filter has a curved
face, large area, and small windage resistance. These features help to improve heat dissipation
efficiency.
4.3.3 Fan Module
This section describes the appearance of the fan module.
The fan modules, which are located at the rear of the NE40E-X3, performs heat dissipation
and ventilation for the entire system.
The fan module of the NE40E-X3 consists of a fan frame, two fans, and a Fan Control Board
(FCB), as shown in Figure 4-14. When a single fan fails, the system can still work normally
for a short period of time at ambient temperature of 40°C ( 104°F ).
