8.10.2 Lifting the work platform with the standard attachment
If, in an exceptional circumstance
approved by the owner, the work
platform is to be raised and an operator
carried in the work platform, proceed as
follows:
Requirements
– Prepare the truck for operation, see
page 138 or see page 139.
Tools and Material Required
– Use only work platforms that have been
approved for this truck by the
manufacturer.
Procedure
• Check the work platform for damage
before use.
• Check the lock (243) on the work platform is present and check for damage.
• Close the gate (239).

The work platform must be lifted in such a way that at all times during travel, lifting
or lowering, eye contact is maintained between the driver and the person in the
work platform.
• Before lifting the work platform make sure there is no one inside it.
• Position the truck in front of the work platform so that the forks can be inserted
into the fork shoes (241).
