CAUTION: Use the graceful shutdown method to power o or reboot the rewall.
Forced shutdown—Press the Power buon and hold it for ten seconds. The device immediately
powers itself o without shung down the OS.
CAUTION: Use the forced shutdown method as a last resort to recover the rewall if
the rewall OS is not responding to the graceful shutdown method.
To remove power completely from the rewall, unplug the AC power cord.
Aer powering o a power supply, wait for at least 60 seconds before turning it back on. Aer powering
on a power supply, wait for at least 10 seconds before turning it o.
When the system is completely powered o and you turn on the power supply, the rewall starts as the
power supply completes its startup sequence. If the rewall nishes starng and you need to power o
the system again, rst issue the request vmhost halt command.
NOTE: The fans in the power supply connue to rotate even aer you power o the SRX1600.
To stop the fans, remove the power cord from the power supply. The fans will stop in a few
seconds.
Aer turning on the power supply, it can take up to 60 seconds for status indicators—such as the PWR
LED and the show chassis command display—to indicate that the power supply is funconing normally.
Ignore error indicators that appear during the rst 60 seconds.
