Roune Maintenance Procedures for the SRX1600
To maintain opmum performance of the device, you must regularly perform the following prevenve
maintenance procedures:
Inspect the installaon site for moisture, loose wires or cables, and excessive dust.
Ensure unobstructed airow around the device and into the air intake vents.
Check the status LEDs on the front panel of the device.

The SRX1600 has three independent, eld-replaceable fans at the rear of the chassis.
Each fan module is a hot-removable and hot-insertable eld-replaceable unit (FRU). You can remove and
replace the fan module without turning o power to the appliance or disrupng its funcons.
Before you replace a fan module:
Ensure that you understand how to prevent electrostac discharge (ESD) damage.
Ensure that you have the following parts and tools:
An ESD grounding strap
An anstac bag or an anstac mat
A replacement fan module
(Oponal) A Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 1 or 2, for the capve screws
