d) Checking the locking segments
Danger of injury from falling light system!
The spring arms AC3000
and Onda Space are usually completely installed with cables and do not have a
redundant locking screw.
Perform control of the locking segment only with the assistance of a second person who holds the
suspended load in place before and while the locking element is removed, and until it is inserted
again!
Danger of injury from worn locking segments!
Worn locking segments can cause the lighting system to fall down.
If the locking segment shows signs of abrasion, it must be replaced.
Ensure that the following components are sufficiently greased during installation to avoid abrasion:
all locking segments on the on the contact surface (1), see Final steps, page 153
the locking screws for AC2000 LC and Onda Space LC and the groove of the pin they engage into
Expose locking segment.
AC2000
AC2000 locking segment (up to June 2006) AC1400/AC2000 (from June 2006)
When using the spring arm AC1400/AC2000, make sure the locking segment has a minimum thickness
of 1.5 mm. Otherwise, or in case of visible signs of abrasion, the locking segment must be replaced.
