6.25 Installing thermostat assembly
NOTE
Replace the gasket with a new one.
1.
Install the thermostat assembly (1).
NOTE
Make sure
that the direction the jiggle valve
oriented to the coolant temperature sensor.

2. Install the thermostat cover (2).

6.26 Installing valve
NOTE
Clean the valve stem and valve guide hole.

ools required
Valve spring compressor
1. Install the valve stem seal (1).
NOTE
Apply the engine oil sufficiently
.
2. Install the valve (2).
3. Set the valve spring (3) and valve spring retainer
(4).
4. Compress the
valve spring with valve spring
compressor and install the valve spring collet (5).

(5) Valve spring collet
(6) Valve cap
5. Remove the valve spring compressor.
6. After installing
the valve spring collets (5), lightly tap
the stem tip to attach it correctly with the plastic
hammer.
7. Install the valve cap (6).
6.27 Installing tappet
IMPORTANT
Do not
change the combination of cylinder
number and tappet.
NOTE
Apply engine oil thinly around tappets.

Install the tappets (1) to the crankcase (2).

6.28 Installing cylinder head
IMPORTANT
When replacing the piston, piston pin bushing,
connecting rod or crankpin bearing, select the
SERVICING
