2. Measure
the
clearance between the ring and the
groove with a feeler gauge.
NOTE
• If the
clearance is more than the service
limit, replace the piston ring.
• If the clearance stays more than the service
limit with new ring, replace the piston also.
• When replacing the piston, select the
cylinder head gasket thickness to meet with
the top clearance.
