1. Measure
the
resistance across each lead of the
stator coil with the resistance range of circuit tester.
NOTE
If electricity
is out of service specification,
replace the stator assembly.

Emery paper (#500 to 600)
Vernier caliper
1. Check the slip ring for dirt or scratch.
NOTE
If dirt
is detected, clean the slip ring using a
cloth soaked in alcohol.
If there is slight score, correct with an emery
paper (#500 to 600).
2. Measure the O.D. of the slip ring with a vernier
calipers.
NOTE
If the
measurement is less than the service
limit, replace the rotor assembly.
