The calibration constants displayed
here are updated each time you
perform a zero or span. In most
cases there is no need to edit these
values manually. If you do edit the
values, the dates will not change.
The dates reflect the last time the
instrument was zeroed and/or
spanned.
The calibration constants for CO
2
and H
2
O zero and span calibrations are found
on the Calibration page. If new constants are entered in this page, tap Send Update
to send the values to the LI-8100A for implementation (note that the dates will not
change).
The calibration functions for both CO
2
and H
2
O correct for pressure fluctuations
that may be present. To disable this correction, tap the 'Pressure Compensation'
field to toggle to Pressure Compensation: Off.
The LI-8100A uses a rectangular hyperbola for the CO
2
calibration, and a third
order polynomial for H
2
O calibration. Tap the 'Edit Coefficients' button to view
the Coefficients page. This page displays these factory-determined calibration
coefficients, as well as those for the pressure transducer, band broadening (BB) and
cross sensitivity (CS). These coefficients are fixed at the factory, and are present on
the calibration sheet included with the instrument. The coefficients can be edited
manually, if desired, though this is not generally recommended. Tap Restore
Defaults to revert to the factory default values.
