Using the LI-8150 Multiplexer
Port Setup: V2 (V3, V4)
The V2, V3, and V4 windows are the areas in which you can input the coefficients
for linear external input devices connected to the 8100-104/C chamber (V1 is
dedicated for measuring Multiplexer flow rate). There is a General Purpose Input, a
dedicated input for the Decagon EcH
2
O or Delta-T Theta soil moisture probes, and
a Thermistor input that can be monitored on any of V2, V3, or V4 voltage
channels.
Enter the slope and offset values (obtained from the manufacturer) for each device
attached to the voltage inputs. If Thermistor Input is selected, the page changes to
show input fields A, B, and C, for thermistor calibration coefficients; the thermistor
temperature calculation is of the form
T (°C) = 1/[A + B*(ln R) + C*(ln R)

NOTE: If a soil moisture probe is connected, the probe is automatically powered
for about 10 seconds to allow it to stabilize, before it is sampled.
