ENGINE STORAGE
If the vehicle must be parked for a
period (more than 30 days), protect it as
follows:
1
Drain the engine oil.

Fill up to the proper level with oil of
the recommended quality and
viscosity.
3
Fill up the fuel tanks with the
recommended grade of fuel.
4
Run the engine for two minutes
around 1000 rpm. Shut the engine
down. DO NOT drain the oil after this
run.
5
Check the coolant for proper levels
of antifreeze and inhibitor protection.
Service as necessary.
6
Seal all engine openings using
protective covers.
To return to service an engine preserved
in this manner, remove previously
installed protective covers. Check all
uid levels and if necessary replace
engine oil contaminated by
condensation.
