STEP 1: PREPARE WINDOWS ACCOUNTS
Arrange passwords for each user of the computer through the
User Accounts program in System Control, if this has not yet
taken place.
The Windows password with which you register will be used to
encrypt your data. It will be possible for someone to have access
to your data or your Notebook if no password has been stored. It
is important that each user has his or her own password for this
reason.
You will find the program to administrate the User Accounts in
System Control. Click on User Accounts there.
STEP 2: INSTALL THE ENCRYPTION PROGRAM
The system will be prepared for using the fingerprint sensor dur-
ing the installation of the program.
1. Start the installation by means of the OmniPass link on the
Desktop or through D:\Tools\Omnipass\setup.exe.
2. Follow the instructions on the screen after you have
started the installation.
3. Your computer will be restarted automatically to finish the
setup. The Registration screen will already display an op-
tion to record your fingerprint below on the right. How-
ever, you will not be able to use it, because you must reg-
ister your fingerprints first. Therefore enter your password
manually as usual after the restart.
