Measuring the thickness of the media automatically

Set a media.

Press the key in LOCAL.

Press to select [HEAD HEIGHT].

Press the key.

Press to select [THICKNESS CHECK].

Press the key.

Press to select the area to set the value.

Press the key.
• In preparation for the measuring, the Y-bar will move up to the top
position.
• The carriage will move to the printing area in the thickness
measurement area.
• For the setting procedure when the toggle print function is set to OFF, refer to P3-5 "Measuring the
thickness of the media automatically".
• Be sure to set a media on the printing area for the area to measure the thickness. If
measured automatically without media, the head can break.
FRONT
: Measures the thickness of the media set in the FRONT-side area.
REAR : Measures the thickness of the media set in the REAR-side area.
FRONT : After measuring the thickness of the media set in the FRONT-side area, measures the
+REAR thickness of the media set in the REAR-side area.
