1 Introduction
This documentation is a reference for connecting, commissioning and operating the ZB4-604-IF1
communications card.
This card can be used in Touch Operator Panels of the MV4 series.
The card should only be fitted or removed from the device with the power supply switched off.
The range of drivers supported by the card depends on the current version of the firmware used.
If a driver for your PLC type is not available in the current version, enquire about all newer versions with an
additional range of drivers.
The ZB4-604-IF1 card supports the PROFIBUS-DP protocol and functions solely as a class B slave.
The EN 50 170 was used as the basis for the development of this card.

ERROR The lit ERROR LED (red) indicates that the data transfer to the PLC could not be
correctly executed.
The LED will not go out until the next data transfer to the PLC has been correctly
completed.
This LED must never be lit in normal operation.
ACTIV The green LED is lit during an active data transfer between the ZB4-604-IF1
and the PLC.
This LED should flash momentarily (approx. 50 ms) during normal operation.
