1 Introduction
This document serves as a reference for the connection, commissioning and operation of the ZB4-601-IF1,
ZB4-609-IF1 communication cards.
These cards must only be used in Touch Operator Panels of the MV4 series which provide the appropriate
slot (destination hardware).
It must be ensured that the cards are only fitted or removed from the device when the power supply is
switched off. Ensure that the cards are only fitted or removed when the power supply is switched off.
The ZB4-601-IF1 card supports all drivers and physical interfaces for a wide range of PLC types which are
described later in this documentation.
In addition to the ZB4-601-IF1 drivers, the ZB4-609-IF1 also supports the MPI interface for the SIMATIC S7.
Apart from this, both cards are completely identical.
The current firmware version determines which drivers can be supported. (see driver list on page 3-11).
Remember that when supplied the card is factory set with
RS 485 default configuration.
1.1 Interface connection ZB4-609-IF1
The ZB4-609-IF1 card is equipped with two interfaces. These interfaces cannot be linked (switched) at the
same time. It would cause incalculable communication conflicts.
Note: Only one interface can be linked.
