Manyvinylglovescontainphthalateadditives,whichareoftennotrecommendedformedicaluseandareknown
tobeharmfultothehousingofthedevice.Thedeviceshouldnotbehandledwhilewearingvinylgloves
containingphthalates,orbeforehandsarewashedtoremovecontaminantresidueafterglovesareremoved.If
productscontaininganyoftheharmfulingredientslistedaboveareusedpriortohandlingthedevice,suchas
handsanitizerthatcontainethanolamine,handsmustbecompletelydrybeforehandlingthedevicetoprevent
damagetotheplastics.
