Cashier Sign In Offline Alert
ThereisafeaturetoalertthecashieroftheEASsystemstateatsignin.Whenthesign
inoccursandthescannerisenablediftheEASsystemisofflinethe“EASOffline
messagewillbespoken”.Thereisaprogrammabletimelimitonhowlongthesign
outperiodmustbebeforetheofflinemessageisspokeninordertoprevent
extraneousmessageswhencashiermustsigninandoutfrequently.Thismessageis
from1to15minutesandisselectedwiththefollowingprogrammingtagsequence.
1. ProgramMode—putsthescannerinprogrammingmode.
2.
Hex7,HexC,Hexx—wherexisthetimeinminutes(1to15).
3. SaveandReset—savestheenabledsettingandresetsthe
RealScan74.
EAS Status LED
ThereisanLEDindicatorbesidetheManualDeactivationButtonusedtoindicatethe
EASsystemstatus.TheLEDwillbeon
solidwhenthesystemisconnectedand
operatingproperly.IfthesystemisconnectedbutnotcommunicatingtheLEDwillbe
flashing.TheLEDisoffwhentheEASfeatureisdisabled.
Enable Sensormatic® Communications
ScanthefollowingsequenceofprogrammingtagstoenabletheSensormatic®
communications.Thesemustbethefirsttags
scannedafterapplyingpowertothe
RealScan74.

Sensormatic® Deactivation Tones

firesthedeactivator.Thetoneisaseriesofpulsesprogrammableinfrequencyand
numberofpulses.Therecanbe1to8pulsesofasinglefrequencyor1to7pulsesof
dualtones.
