Configuring Intel® AMT Settings in Intel®
MEBx Menu
Intel® Management Engine BIOS Extension (Intel® MEBx) is a BIOS menu extension on
the Intel® AMT system. This menu can be used to view and configure some of the Intel®
AMT settings.
1. Reboot the system.
2. Press [Esc] during POST.
3. Select Intel Management Engine BIOS Extension, then press [Enter].
4. Enter the current BIOS admin password.
5. Select MEBx Login, then press [Enter].
6. Enter the MEBx password.
Note
The first time this program is entered, you must use the default password,
admin.
7. Define your own unique MEBx password.
Example
Ncr@2020
Note
You must use a strong password. Strong passwords are between 8 and 32
characters long, have at least one upper case character, one lower case
character, one number, and one special character (examples are !, @, #, $,
%, ^, &, *). Also, you should use a unique password for each provisioned
Intel AMT system, to prevent someone from possibly obtaining a master
password and compromising the security of the entire network.
