Programming Department Calling Group Overow for Screened Transfers (TRFs)
Step 1 Set up the Department Group.
1.1 16-02-01: Department Group Assignment for Extensions.
- Assign telephone extensions to a Department Group.
By default:
- Telephone extensions are assigned to Department Group 1.
- IntraMail extensions (343-350) are assigned to Department Group 8.
1.2 11-07-01: Department Group Pilot Numbers
- Assign master (pilot) numbers to Department Groups.
By default:
- The IntraMail Department Group (8) uses master number 700.
- No other Department Group master numbers are assigned.
Step 2 In the active Dial Action Table, assign a Screened Transfer (TRF) Action to the Department
Group master number.
2.1 47-13-01: Dial Action Table Actions: TRF Action - Screened Transfer (1) on page 236.
- The corresponding Number option should be the Department Group master number.
- For example, to allow callers to place Screened Transfers to Department Group 1
(600), enter TRF for the Action and 600 for the corresponding Number.
By default, there are to TRF actions assigned to Department Groups.
Step 3 Set how long the call will ring in the Department Group before overow occurs.
3.1 47-08-02: Screened Transfer Timeout on page 219.
- For the active Call Routing Mailbox, set how long (
1-255 seconds) the Screened Transfer
from the IntraMail Automated Attendant will ring in the Department Group before over-
ow occurs.
By default, this interval is 15 seconds.
Step 4 Set up the Department Group Master Mailbox.
4.1 47-03-01: Master Mailbox Active on page 206.
- Be sure the Master Mailbox is active (
1).
By default, all Master Mailboxes are inactive.
4.2 47-03-02: Master Mailbox Number on page 206.
- The Master Mailbox number must be the same as the Department Group master number.
By default, there are no Master Mailbox numbers assigned.
4.3 47-03-03: Master Mailbox Type on page 206.
- Assign the Master Mailbox category (
1=Call Routing, 2=Announcement, 3=Subscriber,
0=Undened).
By default, the Master Mailbox type is 3 (Subscriber).
Step 5 Set up the options for the Master Mailbox used for Department Group overow.
5.1 If you entered 1 (Call Routing) for 47-03-03: Master Mailbox Type:
- 47-04-01: Dial Action Table on page 208.
- 47-04-02: Screened Transfer Timeout on page 208.
- 47-04-03: Time Limit for Dialing Commands on page 208.
- 47-04-04: Fax Detection on page 209.
5.2 If you entered 2 (Announcement) for 47-03-03: Master Mailbox Type:
- 47-05-01: Next Call Routing Mailbox on page 210.
- 47-05-02: Repeat Count on page 210.
- 47-05-03: Hang Up After on page 210.
5.3 If you entered 3 (Subscriber) for 47-03-03: Master Mailbox Type:
- 47-06-01: Number of Messages on page 212.
- 47-06-02: Message Playback on page 212.
- 47-06-03: Auto Erase/Save of Messages on page 212.
- 47-06-04: Message Retention on page 213.
- 47-06-05: Recording Conversation Beep on page 213.
