Reprogram Slot Configuration
1. Program an empty slot for your required PCB using the following steps.
When you’re programming (adding) an empty slot, you may see the fol-
lowing error messages:
a. Enter the programming mode and dial 9902 + HOLD to enter program
9902: Slot Control.
b. Press HOLD then VOL Up or VOL Down until you select the empty slot you
want to program (2-8).
c. Press HOLD. You see ADD CARD (Y/N).
d. Press N + HOLD to return to step ‘b’ without adding a PCB, or press Y to
enter a new PCB assignment.
e. Press ICM, then VOL Up or VOL Down to scroll through the available cir-
cuit types for the slot selected.
f. When the circuit type you want displays, press HOLD. You see: FIRST
EXTENSION
.
g. Enter the first extension number for the PCB. Refer to the configuration
chart you completed above. (For example, if you have a second DSTU in
slot 2, and you want the extension numbers to flow consecutively from
slot 1, enter 316.)
If you make an entry mistake, use LND to backspace over (erase)
the incorrect entry and then enter the correct digits.
h. Press HOLD. You see SLOT CONFIG CHANGED!

Press HOLD twice + VOL Up or VOL Down to select another slot to
program (2-8), or press CONF to exit program 9902.
Verify Your Slot Entries
1. Enter the programming mode and dial 9902 + HOLD to enter program
9902: Slot Control.
2. Press HOLD then VOL Up or VOL Down until you select the slot you want to
check (1-8).
9902 Error Message Description
ERR! NO SLOT CHANGE Occurs if you are trying to assign an extension
range that already exists. Also occurs if your
assignment will exceed the system maximums
(e.g., assigning a 7th 16DSTU).
SLOT 1 IS FIXED! You are trying to change the assignment for slot 1,
which is fixed for a 16DSTU PCB.
SLOT IN USE! You have attempted to delete the slot that supports
the extension from which you are programming.
