UX5000 IP Terminal Features
UX5000 IP Resource Manual 7 - 23
SECTION 11 XML: XML APPLICATION ALWAYS DISPLAYED
With an IP-CTS terminal with IP firmware 92.2.2.0 or higher, an option is available
which allows the terminal to continuously display the XML application instead of the
default terminal display (indicating the time, date, extension name/number, and the
Soft Keys).
Located under the terminal’s Maintenance menu, enter Application Settings-XML
Settings-XML Browser-Fixed Mode. You can select to enable, disable, or set
Application priority.
By enabling the Fixed Mode, once the XML application is displayed on the
terminal’s display, it will remain on the display. To terminate the XML application,
the user presses the CLEAR key for approximately 2 seconds.
With the XML application displayed, the keys normally available on the touch
screen are used the for the XML application only and cannot be used to handle
calls (so there are no Programmable Function Keys, Soft Keys, Caller ID,
pickup of calls on hold on line keys, etc.). The fixed keys (dial pad, CALL, MIC,
SPK, etc.) must be used instead.
By selecting the Application Priority setting, once the XML application is displayed
on the terminal’s display, it will remain on the display until some action is taken on
the terminal (such as pressing the SPK key).
Conditions:
LCD Display:
- Caller ID cannot be displayed for an incoming call arrival while in fixed
mode.
- Dial out number is not displayed at the time of activation.
Soft key, Help, Exit :
- PBX service cannot be supported.
Line key: Cannot be supported with DESI-Less line key.
Ten keys: Preset dial is not supported.
Cursor keys: Redial and directory key are not supported.
PBX Service Restrictions:
Hold feature: Can not pickup the call on hold because the DESI-Less
line key is not viewable/selectable while the application is being
displayed. A user must exit out of fixed mode operation (pressing the
CLEAR key for approximately 2 seconds) in order to display the
telephone mode. This will allow a user to activate and deactivate PBX
functionality.
