UX5000 IP Terminal Features
7 - 16 IP Terminal Features
SECTION 9 XML: POP-UP OF STATION DISPLAY INFORMATION FOR IP-CTS
With the IP-CTS terminal and firmware 93.0.7.0 or higher, when using the XML
capability in fixed mode (the XML window is always shown when idle), an option is
available which will provide a pop-up of the terminal’s idle system information display
- date, day, time, extension number, and Soft Keys.
The pop-up window can be automatically or manually displayed. With the automatic
display, when the IP-CTS terminal is active (an incoming call, placing a call,
transferring a call, on hold), the window is displayed. When the terminal returns to an
idle state, the window closes. Or, the user can manually close the pop-up window by
touching the close button in the upper right of the window.
This option requires the use of an HTTP server, like IIS.
9.1 Setup:
1. Download the sample Pop-Up zip file from the NEC Technical Support Site
(www.necux500.com).
This file contains the XML file to be edited/saved as well as the
Popup.NIP file referenced within the XML file.
2. Unzip the sample Pop-Up zip file and place the files into the
C:\INETPUB\wwwroot folder on the server PC which is used for the XML
applications.
The INETPUB folder is created when the IIS service is installed
as part of the XML setup. Refer to the XML Software
Application Manual, P/N 0193220, for further details on the
initial XML setup.
3. Right-click on the pop_up-sample.xml file and click Edit. Change the IP
address on line 13 to match the server PC’s IP address. Save the file and
close it.
