5.3 SecurityLock
The SecurityLock feature can lock or unlock the connected terminal(s). This
option is not available for the 2-Button or 6-Button IP Value terminals as these
terminals do not have the Lock button. There are two modes in the
SecurityLock feature:
1. Enable allows the user to change the status of the terminal security.
All Clear – Returns the terminal password to default value
Unlock – One-time security release on the terminal
Lock – Locks the Connected terminal(s)
2. Disable the SecurityLock feature from being set from the terminal.
Click on the check box for the terminal(s), select the SecurityLock option
from the Command drop-down list, and click the Execute button.
From the Lock Mode drop-down list, select whether to enable or disable the
use of the lock mode feature for the terminal(s). If the option is disabled, a
user will not be able to set the Lock feature by pressing the Lock key on their
terminal. If the option is enabled, the Lock Level drop-down list is used to
lock, unlock or clear a lock status for a terminal. Selecting the All Clear option
will initialize the password and it will clear the lock status for those selected
terminals.
Select the Command Transmit to use (Send Once, Immediately or Send
Until Successful - see page 1-14) and click Execute.
The status changes from “OK” to “Complete” and the LockStatus changes to
“Lock” or “Unlock”.
