2.5 E-WHERE/FPG1A MODULE
The E-WHERE module is used in the vehicle configuration equipped with a GPS
E-WHERE module.
The equipment by means of the interfacing with FPG1/A, allows the use of
equipment like VT and VS (vehicle radio).
E-WHERE module make available the PEI serial line for a connection for PC on
FPG1/A; it avoid possible conflict with the GPS equipment that also used, of
default, the PEI serial line.
In the Fig. 2.17 the configuration is shown:

For mains supply and for connection with other equipments, the E-WHERE module
used the following cables (shown in Fig. 2.17):
• EXCHANGE DATA CABLE BETWEEN FPG1/A and E-WHERE interface
module (this cable has a D9 female connector (FEI-FPG1/A rear side) and a
RJ9 (4 position) connector (E-WHERE interface module side) (the cable is 6
m long).
• MAINS SUPPLY CABLE BETWEEN E-WHERE interface module and GPS-
E-WHERE module: this cable connects with a RJ45/RJ45 (8 position)
male/male connector, the E-WHERE interface module with the GPS- E-
WHERE module.
• EXCHANGE DATA CABLE BETWEEN E-WHERE INTERFACE MODULE
and GPS E-WHERE MODULE: this cable connects with a RJ12/RJ12 (6
position) male/male connector, the E-WHERE interface module with the GPS
E-WHERE module (the cable is 0,5 m long).
The kit of this three cables is the E-WHERE/FPG1 module (P/N 771-0955/01.01).
