3.6 ANTENNA INSTALLATION
The best position for the antenna installation is the centre of the vehicle roof (if
permitted). If the vehicle is not equipped with the hole for the antenna fastening,
make a 19mm diameter hole (remove all residuals of paint near the fastening
hole).
Proceed as follows to correctly install the antenna:
• Disassemble the antenna.
• Insert the coaxial cable in the installation hole from the outside of the vehicle
without assembling the coaxial connector.
• Slide the cable in until the antenna assembly support is connected to the
vehicle.
• Screw in the stop nut.
• Insert the gasket with the grooved side up.
• Carefully insert the sealing block on the gasket and screw it in.
• Connect the antenna to the block using the wing nut.
• Assemble the coaxial connector.
