Getting Started
Turning the Camera On and Off
1 Remove the lens cap.
2 Press the power switch.
The camera turns on and the display turns on.
When you turn the camera on, the lens will extend. (The lens will not
extend if the initial settings have not been configured.)
If the [Language/u] screen or [Date Adjustment] screen appears
when you turn the camera on, follow the procedure on p.43 or p.47 to
set the display language and/or current date and time.
3 Press the power switch again.
The display turns off, the lens is retracted, and the camera turns off.
