Replacing Speaker Assembly Page 1 of 3
Preparation Before replacing the Speaker Assembly, you must first follow these procedures:
■ Removing Top Cover
WARNING!
Shock hazard. The Energy Storage Capacitor carries high voltage.
Remove the battery and discharge the capacitor before handling. See:
■ Discharging Energy Storage Capacitor
■ Setting Aside Main PCB
Refer to the exploded view on the next page. To remove the Speaker Assembly:
1. Gently separate the tabs holding the Speaker Assembly and slide the
assembly out of the lower enclosure.
2. Gently work the speaker loose from the speaker cone adhesive ring.
3. Carefully rotate the speaker and pull it away from the speaker cone.
