Cleaning the Shield and Wick (DM400c/DM475)
Maintaining the Moistener (cont'd)
5. Place the wick back into the shield.
6. Push the wick and shield back into moistener tank. Be sure that
the underside of the shield is in contact with the top of the wick.
Press fi rmly on both ends of the shield to make sure it snaps
into place.
7. Slide the tank back in place.
8. Replace the stripper blade/brush assembly by sliding it back on
its track until it snaps into position.
9. Fill the moistener bottle, place it in the feeder, and close the
access cover.
DM400c - Check the sight window on the front the to see that
the liquid level is more than half way up.
DM475 - Check the indicator in the top cover to see that it is all
blue.
3. Pull up and remove the shield and wick from the moistener tank
4. Separate wick from the shield. Clean the wick in plain water,
and rinse thoroughly. Blot the excess water from the wick.

NOTE: Replace the wick and shield if they cannot be cleaned
thoroughly.
