Serious injuries and damage to property may occur
as a result.
The electrical installation must be executed by per-
sonnel with the relevant knowledge and experience
in electrical equipment (qualied electrician). These
persons must be able to provide proof of the required
specialist knowledge for the installation of electrical
systems and their components by passing an exami-
nation. Improper installation poses a risk to the life of
the installer and of the users of the electrical system.
Improper installations pose a risk of serious property
damage, e.g. from re. Depending on the legal situa-
tion you may be personally liable in case of personal
injury and property damage.
Requirements for the qualied electrician:
– Ability to recognise risks and to avoid potential
electricity hazards based on training and experi-
ence
– Professional qualications enabling the electri-
cian to work on electrical equipment
– Ability to select suitable tools, measuring devi-
ces and personal protective equipment if neces-
sary
– Ability to evaluate measurement results
– Ability to select suitable materials for the electri-
cal installation to ensure the cut-o conditions
– Knowledge of the dierent types of IP-protec-
tion
– Knowledge about how to install the electrical
installation material
– Knowledge about the type of power supply net-
work (TN, IT and TT system) and the result-
ing connection conditions (neutral connected to
earth in socket, protective earth, any additional
measures that may be required, etc.)
– Knowledge of general and specic safety and ac-
cident prevention regulations and re protection
measures
– Knowledge of the electrical/electronic regula-
tions and standards and national regulations
