6.1 Initialization Screen
Occasionally, you may want to change your ST's general operation settings. The settings used for this are
found in the INITIALIZE option in the ST OFFLINE mode's MAIN MENU.
*1 This chapter explains each of the OFFLINE mode's INITIALIZE items. However, there are 2 types of
INITIALIZE settings, those for the 1:1 connection and those for the n:1 (multi-link) connection
*1
.
The n:1 mark appears on original menu items related to n:1 multi-link connection items. If there is no mark,
the menu item is common to both 1:1 and n:1 connections.
1:1 A single (1) ST is connected with a single (1) PLC.
n:1 Multiple STs are connected with a single PLC. The STs successively pass a PLC Access Token (exclu-
sive PLC interaction key) among themselves to designate which unit can communicate with the PLC.
*1 PLC's that support the n:1 (multi-link) connection are limited.

editor software)
*2 Refer to the screen editor software's "SYSTEM SETTINGS" area.
If you transfer the ST's system file data to the ST via your screen editor software
*2
, the ST oper-
ates using that data. If the ST System file has been correctly setup and transferred, the setting of
INITIALIZE items become unnecessary.
