Sonarfrequency
Thefrequencyofthesonardeterminesthewidthofthesonarbeam,
thedepthtowhichthesignalswillpenetrateandtheresolution
oftheimage.Eachofthepresetoperatingmodeshasitsown
frequencysettings.
ThefrequenciessupporteddependupontheDSMandtransducer
inuseonyoursystem.
•Auto.Whenoperatinginautomaticfrequencythesystemwillset
andadjustthefrequencyautomaticallytosuityourtransducer
andoperatingconditions.
•Lowerfrequencies(e.g.50kHz)produceawidesonarbeam
andpenetratethewaterwell.Alowerfrequencyprovidesalower
resolutionimagethatmaynotbeasgoodatdetectingsmallsh.
Uselowerfrequenciesifyourequirealargecoveragebeneath
yourvesselorifyouareindeepwater.
•Higherfrequencies(e.g.200kHz)producenarrowbeam
andproduceahighresolutionimage.Theyaremostusefulin
shallowerwater(upto1000ft)andathigherspeeds.
Settingtheshnderfrequency
WiththeAdjustPresetmenuoptionsyoucan:
•Congureoneortwofrequenciesforeachofthefourpresets.
•Selectadisplaymode.
•Editpresetnames.
•Resetpresetstofactorydefaults.
1.FromtheshnderapplicationselectMenu.
2.SelectAdjustPreset<mode>,where<mode>isthepreset
alreadyselected.
3.SelectCongureFrequencies.
4.SelectSelectFrequency1orSelectFrequency2asrequired.
5.Selecttherequiredfrequency:Auto,lowfrequencyorhigh
frequency
6.Youcanalsomanuallyadjustthefrequencybyselectingthe
relevantTuneFrequencyoption.
TheTuneFrequencymenuisdisplayed
7.SelecttheTuneFrequencysothatManishighlighted
SelectingTuneFrequencywillswitchbetweenAutoandManual.
8.UsetheRotaryControltoadjustthefrequencytotherequired
setting.

1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectAdjustPreset<mode>,where<mode>isthepreset

3.SelectEditName.
4.Selecttherequiredcharacters.

Fromtheshnderapplication:

3.SelectDisplayMode.
4.Withdualfrequencypreset,selectAdjusttoselectwhich
frequencydisplayyouwishtochange.
SelectingAdjustinDualfrequencypresetwillswitchbetween
Frequency1andFrequency2.
5.SelectSelectMode.
6.Selecttherequireddisplaymode:
•None
•Zoom
•BottomLock
•A-Scope
Fishnderzoommode
Thezoomdisplaymodemagniesaregionoftheshnderscreen
todisplaymoredetail.
Thiszoomoptionenablesyouto:
•Replacethestandardshnderimagewiththezoomedimage,
ordisplaythezoomedimagealongsidethestandardshnder
image.
•Setthezoomfactortoapredenedlevel,oradjustitmanually.
•Repositionthezoomedportionoftheimagetoadifferentpoint
inthedisplay.
Whentherangeincreases,theareashowninthezoomwindow
alsoincreases.
Zoomsplit
Withthezoomdisplaymodeyoucansplitthescreenanddisplay
thezoomedimagealongsidethestandardshnderimage(ZOOM
SPLIT).Thezoomedsectionisindicatedonthestandardshnder
screenbyazoombox.
Selectingzoomsplitscreen
Fromtheshnderapplication,withZoompresetselected:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectAdjustPreset<mode>,where<mode>isthepreset
alreadyselected.
3.SelectDisplayMode.
4.SelectZoomsothatSplitishighlighted.
SelectingZoomwillswitchbetweenSplitandFull.
Adjustingtheshnderzoomfactor
Whenthezoomfunctionisactive(ZoomFullorZoomSplit),you
caneitherselectapredenedzoomfactororadjustitmanually.
