MeasuringusingVRM/EBL
VariableRangeMarkers(VRM)
AVariableRangeMarker(VRM)isacirclecentredonyourvessel’s
positionandxedwithrespecttotheheadingmode.Whenthis
circleisadjustedtoalignwithatarget,itsrangefromyourvessel
ismeasuredanddisplayedontheRadarcontextmenuwhenyou
selecttheVRMwiththecursor.
ElectronicBearingLines(EBL)
AnElectronicBearingLine(EBL)isalinedrawnfromyourvessel
totheedgeofthewindow.Whenthislineisrotatedtoalignwitha
target,itsbearingrelativetoyourvessel’sheadingismeasuredand
displayedontheRadarcontextmenuwhenyouselecttheVRM
withthecursor.
TheVRM/EBLarecombinedtomeasureboththerangeandthe
bearingofthespeciedtarget.
