Security Menu
The Security menu has six commands. These commands control the security of the
Hand Reader and the sensitivity of the Hand Reader when reading hands.
Set User Data – Set the User Authority level controlling which command menus a user
is allowed to access, Set the User Reject Threshold adjusting the hand read
threshold for one Hand Reader without affecting the threshold of others, and Set
the User Time Zone.
Set TZ Table – Set, examine, print, or clear Time Zone or Holiday table values and set
an Unlock Time Zone value.
Reject Threshold – Set the Hand Reader’s Reject Sensitivity level applied to all users
when reading hand data and Set the Number of Retries a user is allowed before
being rejected by a Hand Reader.
Set Passwords – Change the passwords assigned to each of the five command menus.
Clear Memory – Clear the user data from the system, but retain the setup data.
Special Enroll – Allows a user to be enrolled such that the ID number is the primary
criteria for determining access. A hand read is required, but is not verified against
any stored identification data.
The following sections describe all the Security menu options. All commands are
described in the order they are accessed. Locate the command you need to perform and
step through all previous commands until you reach the desired command.
