• The Docker technology uses the Linux kernel and its features to isolate processes
so they can run independently.
• Docker is a tool that makes it easier to deploy and execute applications by using
containers.
• A container does not just hold the application itself but also all of the resources
required by the application during runtime.
• Thanks to the container technology, the gateway system can be rapidly extended by
adding customer-specific applications.

• The sensor data can be transmitted to a customer server either via LAN, WLAN or
mobile radio.
• Data is usually transferred via the MQTT protocol or the WebSocket protocol.
• Access to the device information and device configurations is also possible via the
REST API interface integrated in the TDC-E.
