Removing the
old battery, if
necessary
- Disconnect and remove the battery.
- Remove the adhesive strip from the battery housing and pull the housing apart.
- Now remove the old battery from the battery housing.
- Disconnect the battery connecting cable (2) (see next figure).
- Connect the battery connecting cable (2) to the new battery and plug it into the bat-
tery housing.
- Wrap the adhesive tape around the housing five times to ensure the battery is gas-
tight. Each layer of tape should be offset approx. 5 mm.

Note battery polarity. Positive terminal: Brown lead
Negative terminal: Blue lead

Installing the bat-
tery
- Install the battery so that the battery's venting nozzle lies in the bore of the case
housing.
- Secure the battery with the battery retaining angle (3). Tighten the bolts securely.
