9.1 Removing and inserting I/O modules
Front connectors and I/O modules must only be inserted or removed when the voltage is
switched off.
NOTICE
Physical damage can occur
If you install or uninstall front connectors and/or I/O modules with switched-on voltage, this
can lead to undefined conditions in your plant.
Physical damage to the S7-1500 automation system may occur as a result.
Therefore only install/uninstall front connectors and/or I/O modules with switched-off
voltage.
Therefore during the planning of a plant always make sure to comply with the necessary,
pertinent standards and safety guidelines.
