Testing with watch tables
The following functions are available in the watch table:
● Monitoring of tags
This allows the current values of the individual tags of a user program or a CPU to be
monitored on the programming device or PC.
The following operand areas are possible:
– Inputs and outputs (process image) and bit memory
– Contents of data blocks
– Peripheral inputs and peripheral outputs
– Timers and counters
● Modifying tags
You can use this function to assign fixed values to the individual tags of a user program
or CPU. Modifying is also possible with Test with program status .
The following operand areas are modifiable:
– Inputs and outputs (process image) and bit memory
– Contents of data blocks
– Peripheral inputs and peripheral outputs (for example, %I0.0:P, %Q0.0:P)
– Timers and counters
● "Enable peripheral outputs" and "Modify now"
These two functions enable you to assign fixed values to individual peripheral outputs of
a CPU in the STOP mode. You can also use them to check your wiring.
