The following table shows which modules may be used in the various slots:

When a CPU 1511-1 PN is used

Special feature of the load current supply
In addition to the specified max. 32 modules, you need a load current supply to supply the
modules and the input/output circuits with 24 VDC.
The number of load power supplies is unlimited.
Load current supplies can be mounted on the "S7-1500 mounting rail" but do not have a
connection to the backplane bus.
Observe the installation rules and specified installation distances in the manuals of the load
current supplies.
