Web server
The Web server of the TIM
The TIM provides you with the functionality of a Web server for access using a Web browser.
The following functions are available via the Web server:
● Read access
– A selection of diagnostics data
– A selection of configuration data
● Write access
– Setting the time
– Firmware update
– Module restart
– Reset to factory settings
– Recording of statistics values of the Ethernet interfaces

Access rights via "Global security settings"
The rights for access to the Web server are configured in STEP 7 in the Global security
settings. Only users created there can log on with the Web server using HTTP/HTTPS.
The following preset roles are relevant for Web server access:
● Admin
● Standard
● Diagnostics
The rights of the preset roles mean the following for access to the Web server of the TIM:
● Web: Read system configuration
Reading out configuration and diagnostics data from the Web server of the TIM.
● Web: Write application parameters
Writing configuration data
● Web: Update firmware
Loading firmware files via the Web server
● Web: Access Web diagnostics and the file system of the module
Read and write access to all data in the Web server
